Feasts in Islam: the word “Eid” in the language is derived from the verb (Ad), and it is said that it is derived from the custom; That is, what people are accustomed to, and the gathering of the feast is holidays, and it is called on any day when people meet, and it was reported that it was called the feast; Because it is repeated every year and comes back with joy and joy, and this is the view of Ibn Al-Arabi, while the scholar Ibn Abdin sees that he was called this;

Because of the kindness that Allah Almighty prefers in it, the good that is attributed to the servant, such as breaking the fast after fasting, charity, and sacrifice, and completing the ritual pilgrimage with ritual pilgrimage, and the joy in which it is enacted, and bringing pleasure to the souls, and the grace of God Almighty has been thanked for people,

Eid Al-Fitr with this name; Because fasting the month of Ramadan ends with it, so people break their fast, while Eid al-Adha is called by that name; Because the pilgrims sacrifice sacrifices in it, and Eid al-Fitr, and Al-Adha, occupies a great place among Muslims; It comes from the choice of God for them as feasts for Muslims, in addition to the great rituals in them, such as ritual ablution, and the joy of a Muslim in breaking the fast, as they come after two pillars of Islam, namely: fasting and pilgrimage, in addition to that they are from the days of God, which spread forgiveness and mercy to the worshipers.

Volume 0% The difference between Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha. A distinction is made between Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha with some differences, such as time, some partial enlargement, and in what is enacted in each of them. This will be explained in the following: The difference between Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha The time for Eid al-Fitr comes every year on the first day of the month of Shawwal, and Eid al-Adha takes place on the tenth day of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah, [4] and ends on the third day of the days of Tashreeq that start after the first day of his days.

The difference between Eid al-Fitr Eid al-Adha in terms of enlargements It is desirable for people to raise their voices by enlarging the two nights of Eid al-Adha and Eid al-Fitr; They will be enlarged in the streets, mosques, markets, and homes, and Shafi’i, Hanbali, and Maliki have stated this, and people may speak out enlarging their way to the Eid prayer on Eid Al-Adha, and on Eid Al-Fitr, which is the view of the public, and they disagree with the Hanafi in speaking openly during Eid Al-Fitr; They said that it was not there.

Eid al-Adha is also devoted to Eid al-Fitr, in what is known as takbir. It is the takbeer after the five daily prayers, and it continues from the morning of the day of Arafah until the afternoon of the last day of the days of al-Tashreeq. As for the recommended takbeer formulas, among them is the saying: “God is the greatest of God, there is no god but God, God is the greatest of God, and God is great.” Absolute magnification from the first day in which the crescent of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah appears, until the last day of the days of Tashreeq, and it is not confined to a specific place or time; It can be enlarged at all times and places, and on Eid al-Fitr, the enlargement begins from the moment of the sight of the Shawwal crescent after sunset on the last day of the month of Ramadan and continues until the imam goes out to the Eid prayer.
