As s student, you need to know how to draw neuron diagram easily or neuron cell drawing easy method. So you must learn how to draw neuron structure in easy way. Neuron drawing easy step by step process has been depicted here. Its about how to draw neuron diagram easily class 9. Know how to draw neuron structure for class 10 & 11 or neuron drawing class 9 & 10.
What is a neuron?
The structural and functional unit of the nervous system is called a neuron or nerve cell.
A brain is made up of billions of nerve cells or neurons. There are 1 billion nerve cells or nerve cells in this human brain alone. These nerve cells are connected to each other by hundreds of billions of nerve fibers.
What is the structure of a neuron
Each neuron consists of two parts. Namely-
1. Cell body and
2. Elongated part.
What is the cell body of a neuron?
A nerve cell can look like-
Stellate,
Spherical,
Triangular or conical.
The cell body is covered with a single membrane made up of lipoproteins. The cytoplasmic granular and fibrous part inside the cell body is called neuroplasm. Neuroplasm contains numerous nucleoprotein granules which are also called Nissl granules.
In addition to these granules, numerous fine thread-like fibers are seen in the neuroplasm, which are called neurofibrils. The nerve cell has a large round or oval nucleus. The part where the nucleus is located is called the soma.
Numerous mitochondria are seen scattered in the neuroplasm of the cell body. In addition, there is the Golgi apparatus. Although it has a centrosome, it is inactive.
Function
The main function of the cell body is to
maintain the connection between the axon and the dendron and
transmit the stimulus received by the dendron to the axon.
